PSS presents “Things to watch for in news reports of spring practice beyond the obvious that you might not thought of because they are not so obvious as the obvious ones:”
Obviously, everyone knows about LSU’s need to replace Pelini, Flynn, Dorsey, Highsmith, Hester and Steltz, but there are several other questions that need to be answered during Spring Practice:
- Will Les Miles show that he truly has guts and change the way he wears his hat?
- Will Bradley Dale Peveto and Doug Mallory work well together, like Jake and Heath?
- Who will play the Elvis songs in the locker rom before the game?
- Will Gary Crowton implement an offense that can actually convert third downs?
- Will the defensive style show more consistency than it did last year?
- Will there be a reappearance of those god-awful purple jerseys from last year’s Tulane game?
- How many positions will Dandydon say look excellent in drills?
And some Spring Practice questions for the SEC:
- Will Bama draw another 92,000 for their spring game?
- Is this Phil’s last spring?
- Who will coach Georgia – Church Richt or Evil Richt? If it’s Evil Richt, beware, SEC!
- Will Kody Burns play hard like Dennis Dixon or flaccid like Brandon Cox?
- What toys will Dead-Eyes Petrino have to play with in Fayetteville?
- Will Steve Spurrier spend more time on the golf course, or haranguing helpless quarterbacks?
- Will the Gators find some players to take some of Tebow’s beating for him?
- Will we see more pictures of Tebow’s (alleged) girlfriend?
Those storylines and more await the football fanatic who frantically follows vernal preparation.
