****Update*****
via Mgoblog, here are Miles’ comments from the press conference today:
“There was misinformation on ESPN and I think it’s imperative that I straighten it out. I’m the head coach at LSU, I will be the head coach at LSU, I have no interest in talking to anyone else. I have a championship game to play and I’m excited about the opportunity of my damn strong football team to play in it. And that’s really all I’d like to say. It’s unfortunate I had to address my team with this information this morning. With that being done, I think we’ll be ready to play. There will be no questions for me; I represent me in this issue, please ask me after. I’m busy. Thank you very much, and have a great day.”
Doesn’t sound to me like it’s a done deal that he is staying, either. I don’t really know what to make of this at all. Suffice it to say, I am not 100% certain that Miles will be on the LSU sideline next year….
there is this…..
Please make it stop, my head is going to explode….
Now multiple sources are saying that there will be a press conference at 1250 CST, and Les will speak. Who knows what is going to happen?

I think you are right. This is not over. Let me say that I’m quite disgusted by tactics like this (Cf. Tubbs, Saban, etc.) where the coaches are OBVIOUSLY trying to manipulate their schools for more money. This should make every AD want a man like Mark Richt. He’s not even in the top 1/3 of SEC coaches salaries, and NEVER asks for more. He always says he’s just grateful for whatever they give him.
I agree that Richt is in the top 2 of SEC coaches – though with the emergence of Evil Richt, he will probably demand $8 million a year and have an affair with a coed.
