Please shut up. And: Bama fans are illiterate

Les Miles is making a habit of shoving his foot in his mouth. First, he made comments about Alabama (Does Nick Saban need any other motivational tools?) and now he wants to call out USC?

Les, I understand this plays well in front of LSU fans. But it is not doing the team any good. God forbid you should actually lose to Bama or USC next year, the scorn will be unbearable.

So do us a favor, eh, Coach? Shut your mouth and keep winning games at a 85% clip, as you have been doing. Wins get us fired up more than anything you might say.

On another note, MemphisTider, generally one of the smarter Bama bloggers, writes this today:

“TigerRag.com has Nick Saban’s leaving / arriving from LSU to the Dolphins to Alabama as the most important historical event in LSU history.”

Of course, that’s not what TigerRag said. It said it was the number one controversy in LSU history. Of course, reading is a skill yet to be mastered by most of the Crimson Tide faithful….

I would like to point out to the Tider and all Bama fans an earlier article in that series, “The Top 10 Individual Performances in LSU History” in which two (#1 and #4) of the top 10 occurred against Bama in the same game. Thank you Rohan and Josh, for making me smile today.

  1. I’m a Bama fan. After mommy read your article to me, I dictated this comment-(thanks mommy)–I thought surely that LSU fans would be upset by the stream of words from Les’ mouth. Who wants a trash talkin’ coach? Here at Bama we are happy with our lyin’, cheatin’, hated by many coach but he don’t trash talk and he has better hair.
Les just doesn’t have the “above it all” swagger–he doesn’t have alot of national respect (though his talent level does) and he seems to be tryin’ to talk his way into it. The guy is just overloadin’ bulletin boards from coast to coast.
I have zero respect for this clown–he needs to consider this—forget LSU vs. USC. Can Les outcoach Pete Carrol? With last year’s talent level at LSU (considered by some to be THE BEST in the country) they played for NOTHING–who is to blame? Les needs to prove himself before boasting about next year’s title game–with so much talent he better give us a show.
